Arctic Gin Tasting
Step into a relaxed and flavourful exploration of gin, where knowledge, craftsmanship and local identity come together. Hosted by Anki Granström, this guided tasting is designed for small groups and intimate gatherings, offering a personal and engaging introduction to the world of gin.
The experience begins with a short journey through the history of gin — from its origins as a medicinal spirit to today’s refined craft product. You’ll gain insight into how gin is made, exploring the most common styles and the character that defines them. Along the way, different distillation methods are introduced, from traditional pot stills rich in flavour, to cleaner column distillation, and the delicate technique of vapour infusion.
The tasting itself features four carefully selected gins, with a focus on local production and Nordic character. Each is presented with its own story, flavour profile and blend of botanicals. Guided by your host, you’ll learn how to approach gin with your senses — how to nose, taste and identify subtle notes that shape each expression.
For those wishing to deepen the experience, optional extensions can be added. A Gin & Tonic Ritual introduces the art of building the perfect serve, focusing on balance, ice, garnish and tonic pairing. Alternatively, an Arctic Cocktail Lab allows you to explore how gin transforms into a crafted drink. We craft cocktails live using herbs, spices, and botanicals inspired by the northern landscape – based on the gins you’ve tasted.
Unhurried, informative and quietly social, this is an experience that invites you to discover gin in a setting where nature and craftsmanship meet.
